What is the difference between the Original 8" SandBar and the Quickie?

The biggest difference is how much of your hand you want to file at once. The Original SandBar is 8" long with a 1" diameter and is designed to file the calluses across your entire grip together. Its cylindrical shape mimics the shape of a bar or whatever you’re gripping, helping keep your calluses smooth and uniform.

The Quickie is 4" long with a ½" diameter and a slightly finer grit for more precise filing. It’s designed for individual calluses, fingertips, wrist calluses, isolated problem spots, and smaller hands that may only be developing calluses in one area.

When do I use the salve?

After you file and when you’re done training for the day. We especially recommend applying it at night and massaging it into your calluses as part of their recovery. The salve helps keep your calluses conditioned and pliable instead of dry and brittle, so they can move and work with you.

And if you do happen to rip, you can apply the salve directly to a fresh rip. It won’t sting and helps provide relief and protection while supporting the healing process.

How often should I use my SandBar?

I have lived my entire life with major depressive disorder that includes anxiety. Part of my stimming that I do to self soothe when I’m anxious is to chew on my pinky finger. Over the years my finger has become a very malformed monstrosity and heavily calloused to the point of the skin being translucent. It feels really embarrassing when people notice my hand, I've tried so many other products and none of them have been as effective as this tool. I have seen shavers and the thought of them always feels very scary. This kit is a game changer.I wish I would’ve taken it before picture but this is after using this for the last 4 to 5 days. The calluses are still there, but in just a few days the gnarls are slowly decreasing and the skin is becoming much softer and smoother. I’m not sure if I I’ll exer be able to break this habit, but at least I now have something to repair the damage as much as possible and I feel less embarrassed by my hands because it looks close to normal now. It’s so convenient that I can take it with me when I need it most.

This actually grinds the callus down to the soft skin. If this is the first time you’re doing it, don’t do it all in one go. I suggest over 2 or even 3 days. Learn from my mistake. It worked well on the first try that I went to deep to get rid of all the callus.Plus, it’s not designed to eliminate the callus since it’s going to come back if you exercise (like me). It makes it more softer as new skin is introduced.Reading the instructions and use helps. Highly recommended!

Bass player here. I bought the SandBar to control the calluses on my fingertips. It works GREAT! I had no idea it would work as well as it does. The SandBar people say that the idea isn't to remove calluses, it's to control them, to make them work for you.
